The MJP EasyClean System consists of two EasyClean Warmer Units and a EasyClean Accessory Kit and a EasyClean Oven Mode Kit. When purchasing a complete MJP EasyClean System you will receive four boxes. The warmer units are identical and one will be used for bulk wax removal and the other for fine wax removal. The two accessory kits contain all the hardware needed to run the Bulk Wax Removal system in either Steam Mode or Oven Mode. The illustration below outlines the main components of the system.

EasyClean System Capable of Steam and Oven Modes

1.

EasyClean Warmer Units (2x)

2.

Bulk Support Removal Pan (in basic accessory kit)- This 2/3 pan is large enough for full size parts printed in the ProJet MJP 2500 and is designed to catch the melted bulk support wax (studs in base).

3.

Bulk Wax Removal  2/3 Bulk Removal Pan Gasket (in Oven Mode accessory kit) - This pan gasket should always be installed (unless you do not own the Oven Mode accessory kit).

4.

Strainer Basket (in basic accessory kit) - Strainer is helpful when removing parts from unit and keeps the parts from contacting the melted support material during post processing.

5.

Steam Feed Pan (in Oven Mode accessory kit) - Holes on the bottom of this 1/3 size perforated pan allow the steam to travel into the Bulk Support Removal Pan and onto the parts to be post processed.

6.

Steam Feed Pan 1/3 Pan Gasket (in Oven Mode accessory kit) - This pan gasket should always be installed (unless you do not own the Oven Mode accessory kit).

7.

Bulk Support Removal Full Size Cover for Steam Mode (in accessory kit) -Covers the entire bulk wax removal system. Be careful when lifting cover off of hot warmer, cover gets hot. Always tilt cover so steam is away from you.

8.

Bulk Wax Removal 2/3 Size Cover for Oven Mode (in Oven Mode accessory kit) - Covers the bulk wax removal pan to seal and keep any steam away from the parts.

9.

Bulk Wax Removal 1/3 Pan Flat Lid Steam Cover (in Oven Mode accessory kit) - Covers the 1/3 perforated pan and performs the functions of recirculating any water vapor back into the warmer unit during Oven Mode operation.

10.

Strainer Basket Removal Tool - Needed to lift the bulk wax strainer out of the Bulk Support Removal pan.

11.

Fine Wax Removal Pan - This 2/3 size pan is large enough for full size parts printed in the ProJet MJP 2500.

12.

Fine Wax Removal 2/3 Flat Cover - Covers the 2/3 size Fine Wax Removal Pan.

13.

Fine Wax Steam Water Fill 1/3 Flat Cover - Covers the 1/3 size gap for the Fine Wax Removal warmer

Bulk Wax Removal

This equipment shown below is used to remove the bulk wax from the  part. This is the first step in the post processing of a part.

Bulk Wax Removal Hardware

The bulk wax removal step can be done in either a Steamer Mode or an Oven Mode. To operate in Steam Mode, the full size lid is placed over both the 2/3 size pan and the 1/3 size pan. The temperature dial is set to level 10. The full size lid will capture the steam being generated by the warmer and allows transport of the steam to the part surface where it condenses on the part. The heat in the steam will melt the bulk support wax off the parts and the melted support will drip through the strainer basket and into the pan.

To operate in Oven Mode, install the 2/3 lid over the 2/3 size Pan and the 1/3 size lid over the 1/3 size pan. Set the temperature dial to level 7.

2/3 and 1/3 Size Lids for Oven Mode and Temperature Setting of Level 7

The 1/3 size lid forces the steam to recirculate back into the warmer and keeps the steam away from the part. The 2/3 size lid acts as a seal to trap in heat and also keep steam out of the 2/3 size Bulk Support Removal Pan. Therefore, the parts only see the heat from the warmer and no steam. The heat will warm the parts similar to a convection oven and this heat will melt the bulk support wax off the parts.

Switching between Oven Mode and Steam Mode is very simple and can be accomplished in three steps.

  1. Insure the Bulk Support Removal Pan is clean and empty of both any water and any support wax.
  2. Install the appropriate lid(s).
  3. Set the appropriate temperature setting. Bulk Wax Steam Mode Set to level 8-10. Bulk Wax Oven Mode Set to level 7

Equipment Setup for Post Processing Steps Using MJP EasyClean

  1. Assemble the bulk wax removal and fine wax removal units (use the pictures above as a reference).

  2. Fill the warmer unit reservoir with water. Fill to level fill mark in each reservoir. Periodically check the water level in each warmer unit. If the water level is not at the fill mark, add more water.

Note.png

NOTE: Refilling the reservoir with warm water will significantly reduce the unit warm up time.

  1.  Turn the Fine Wax Removal Unit control knob to level 6 (~70C)
  2. For Steam Mode, turn the Bulk Wax Removal Unit control knob to level 8-10 (~100C)
  3. For Oven Mode, turn the Bulk Wax Removal Unit control knob to level 7 (~75C)
Note.png

Note: Keeping units set to level 4 or 5 when not in use will significantly reduce warm up time.

  1. Fill the 2/3 pan in the Fine Wax Removal Unit with wax removal fluid (Mineral Oil or EZ Rinse-C,etc.) so that it is 1/3 to 1/2 full.
  2. Place all the covers back on warmers.

caution36.pngCAUTION: Steam can cause burns. Use precaution when lifting lid off of warmer.

Accessory Kit also includes removable handles that are inserted into the sides of the strainer basket for ease of removal.

The hooks on each handle are inserted into the two slots on each side of the strainer. This allows the strainer basket to be lifted without the user having to touch the hot surfaces or liquids. When strainer has been moved, and user is done with handles, remove them and store somewhere close for the next application. Do not leave the handles in the warmer.
