Optional Accessories

The following items are not required for printer operation, but can be very useful. None of the items are included in the printer shipment.

NOTE: None of the third party products shown below are a recommendation or endorsement of a specific brand/type of the product.

Plastic Scoop - Use this to scoop powder out of a powder pail and into the feed/build bins. The scoop should be able to fit well inside the 9.3 in. x 8.5 in. Feed and Build Bins.

CAUTION: Do NOT use a metal scoop, as metal scraping the stainless steel of the printer could cause sparks, which could ignite explosive dust clouds in the printer.

Plastic Pan Scraper - Use this to assist in leveling out powder on the build plate during print preparation. It can also be useful in moving around powder during part removal.

CAUTION: Do NOT use a metal pan scraper, as metal scraping the stainless steel of the printer could cause sparks, which could ignite explosive dust clouds in the printer.

Tamis (or similar sifter) - Use this to sift powder that has collected in the Reclaim Bin. You must sift any reclaimed powder before reusing it in the machine. The diameter of your tamis should be roughly the same as the openings of your sifting pails. A tamis with #10 mesh (2mm) will work best. tamis.jpg
Sifting Pails - It may be useful to have pails in which to sift reclaimed powder. Pails should be big enough to contain at least one printer bin worth of powder. After using a whole pail of Brill 3D Powder, the empty pail would be ideal for this use.
