Remove the pattern(s) from the platform and remove the supports from the pattern(s). Wipe down each pattern with dry paper towels to quickly absorb the bulk of the resin. Then use paper towels dampened with high-grade isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to wipe any remaining resin from the outside of the patterns. Repeat this process with fresh dampened towels until the pattern no longer feels tacky and all surfaces have a matte finish (no longer shiny with resin). Tools may be required to access small passages or features.
|NOTE: QuickCast™ patterns should be cleaned ONLY with isopropyl alcohol (IPA). It is not recommended to use other solvents as they may cause surface gumminess or tackiness. Do not spray patterns with IPA and do not submerge patterns directly into IPA. The inside of the pattern should never be exposed to IPA.|
Warning: Use alcohol only in a well-ventilated area away from flames or potential spark-creating conditions. Electric motors for ventilating must be spark resistant.
