NOTE: Performing a Pass Through Material Change Over will result in some material mixing. |
Pass Through Material Change Over
- Remove the existing material bottles from the material drawer, tighten caps and set aside carefully such that material won't leak or solidify under the cap.
- Install the new material bottles into both cubbies, it will take a few minutes for the printer to determine how long warm-up time is required for the bottles.

NOTE: Two bottles of the selected material must be installed, otherwise a Material Mismatch fault will be raised |
Maintenance Material Change Over

This method is best employed for situations where minimizing material mixing is desired. Regardless of the method selected there is expected to be some level of material mixing during builds following a material change. |
- Ensure the printer is warmed up and at the idle stage.
- Remove the old waste bag from the material drawer, install a new one, and confirm the waste bag replacement in the Printer User Interface (UI) screen.

If the cartridges are cold the process will take an additional 30 minutes to allow material to warm before continuing. |
- Install new bottles into both cubbies, it will take a few minutes for the printer to determine how long warm-up time is required for the bottles. Expected warmup time for a cold bottle is ~ 2 hours.
- Once the printer has appropriately warmed up the material bottles and the printer is at idle stage, begin a Head Maintenance Cycle (HMC) from the printer UI screen under the "Tools" section. Each HMC will take ~ 7-8 minutes to complete and you can only request one HMC at a time.
- Repeat the HMC two more times.
- In the printer UI screen, make the secondary Red Jade bottle active under the "Materials" section.
- Once the second bottle is active, perform three more HMC purges in the UI screen as done previously.
- When the final HMC purge has completed, remove and install a new waste bag, then start print jobs as normal.
