Shutting Down Printer

SHUTTING DOWN PRINTER

NOTE: Unless the printer will be idle for an excessively long time (more than 60 days) it is not necessary to shut it down. Shutting down the printer will cause longer wait times for warming, because it is warming from a cold state.

  1. Verify that the printer is not building.
  2. Select Tools (1) from the top tool bar.
  3. Select Shutdown (2) on the Tools Menu screen.

  1. Next select Printer Shutdown and click.

  1. The next message that pops up asks if you are sure you want to shutdown the printer. Select OK.

  1. The Printer Shutdown screen will appear next. This lets the user know that the printer is shutting down and not to take any action.

  1. A message will then come up that states it is now safe to turn the power switch off. Turn off the printer switch on the back of the printer.
