Emergency Shutdown

ALERT: In the event of an emergency, immediately unplug the power cords from the backs of all PrinterS AND THE CONTROLLER.

CAUTION: DO NOT POSITION THE Controller SUCH THAT IT IS DIFFICULT TO ACCESS THE POWER INLET ON THE MACHINE IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. your 3d systems installer should have ALREADY installed your printers with easy access to the power inlet on the back. Do not move a printer from where your 3d systems installer placed it.

Printer

There are two different ways to shut down a Printer:

  1. Pull the power cord out the back of the unit. This disconnects all electric current going to the unit. As such, it is the preferred method of shutting down the unit in an emergency. This does NOT shut down the Controller or any other Printers.

  1. Press the lit power button in the upper-right-hand corner of the Printer. This cuts power from the 24v power supply to the rest of the machine. This does not cut the current going from the wall to the power supply.

Controller

There are two different ways to shut down the Controller:

  1. Pull the power cord out the back of the unit. This disconnects all electric current going to the computer's power supply. As such, it is the preferred method of shutting down the Controller in an emergency. This does NOT shut down any of the Printers. It only stops the print queue from processing any more jobs.
