NOTE: Unless governed by prior arrangement, 3D Systems is not responsible for loading 3D Sprint software on the user’s workstation(s). Thus, BEFORE THE 3D PRINTER SYSTEM ARRIVES, ensure that your workstation is capable of supporting the requirements of both 3D Sprint software and communication with the printer via your network.

Final installation site is selected. The intended physical location for the Controller and each Printer should be selected in advance, and checked for adherence to the guidelines set out in this guide.
A method of removing the crate from the shipper’s truck has been arranged (forklift is required) and is available to transfer the crate(s) to the de-crating location.
Your receiving area, hallways, and 3D-printing room have the necessary doorway/passageway clearance to move either crated or uncrated components of the Modular system.
Operating system and workstation configurations are compatible and meet the minimum requirements as stated in the Part-Preparation Software section.
A compressed air system is installed with a minimum of 70-110 psi of dry air. Air tubing is either 9.5 mm or 6.4 mm (0.38 in. or 0.25 in.).
Flooring where Printers will be located is concrete, has an incline of less than/equal to 2.5 cm/12 m (1 in/40 ft), and has a vibration level of less than/equal to 50 µm/sec over a 4-80 Hz bandwidth.
Flooring can take the total weight of all system components combined in the room(s) they are in.
Enough surge-protected, 15A circuits have been installed to accommodate the number of system components your ordered. Enough power outlets have been installed on these circuits.
If desired/required, you have purchased enough uninterrupted power supplies (UPS) for your Controller/Printers.
You have a resin-storage area set up that can be kept at 5°C-30°C (41°F-86°F). Temperature of 3D-printing room can be kept at 18-28°C (64.4-82.4°F). If running FLEX-BLK 10 resin, 3D-printing room can be kept between 10-30°C (50-86°F).
3D-Printing room can be kept between 20-80% relative humidity (RH). If running FLEX-BLK 10 resin, 3D-printing room can be kept between 10-65% RH.
3D-Printing room is less than 2,400 m (1.5 mi) above mean sea level.
HVAC can perform at least six air changes per hour and 3D-Printing room is well ventilated.
If external ventilation is desired or required, such a system has already been installed in the proper locations by a third-party ventilation provider. This system's ducts are 16.5 cm (6.5 in.) in diameter at the point of connection to the Modular printer.
3D-printing room lighting is either fluorescent lamps with clear-plastic diffusers, or has sufficient UV filters covering its lights.
Both the 3D-printing room and resin-storage area can be isolated in the event of a resin spill or open-radiation Service call.
You have set up hazardous waste containers, as well as arranged for a company to dispose of your hazardous waste according to all government regulations.

Network Information

Enough Cat-5e/Cat-6 Ethernet outlets have been installed to accommodate the Controller and all of your Modular Printers.
Network ports 30301 – 30320 are available on the network your Modular system will be on.
TCP port 5000 using REST API over HTTP is available.
If Modular system will use 3D Connect™, an internet connection via gateway/NAT, using port 443 with encrypted connections is available.
1-2 Ethernet cables are supplied for connection of the Controller to your LAN/Dedicated printer LAN (if applicable).
If Printers will be on a dedicated network, you have purchased the required networking equipment for your Controller(s) and Printers.

Post-Processing Equipment

Final installation site is selected. The intended physical location of your post-processing equipment should be selected in advance, and checked for adherence to the guidelines set out in this guide.
A method of removing the crate from the shipper’s truck has been arranged (forklift is required) and is available to transfer the crate(s) to the de-crating location.
You have selected either the UV Curing Unit 350 or the NextDent LC-3DPrint Box for post-curing your printed parts, depending on your part requirements.
If using the UV Curing Unit 350: A surge-protected circuit with space for a 3.5A machine is available. If required, you have purchased a step-down transformer to plug the unit into.
If using the LC-3DPrint Box: A surge-protected circuit with space for a 1.3A (2.6A USA) machine is available.
If purchasing an ultrasonic cleaner, it is rated for use with flammable solvents like IPA (isopropyl alcohol). Larger ultrasonic cleaners may require a dedicated circuit and/or power outlet. Check with your ultrasonic cleaner supplier.
If desired/required, you have purchased enough uninterrupted power supplies (UPS) for your post-curing units and ultrasonic cleaners.

Proper part-cleaning equipment has been obtained, per your requirements, as outlined in the Post-Processing Guide.

If desired/required, fume hoods have been installed in your part-cleaning/curing areas.

 

Before the printer is installed into this facility, we acknowledge that the installation site complies with the specifications stated in the Figure 4 Modular Facility Requirements Guide. Once the printer is installed, we agree not to alter any of the required specifications listed in this manual without consulting with a 3D Systems’ Customer Service Representative or certified partner. If alterations are made without consulting 3D Systems, it may void the system’s warranty.
