In the event of a power outage, you may simply power the printer back up after power is restored. However, be mindful of the following:
- Any print job or maintenance procedure the printer is performing will be aborted and cannot be resumed mid-process. You must restart all print jobs and maintenance routines from the beginning. See Recover from Print Job Abort for more information.
- If power loss occurs during any maintenance procedure where the printhead moves, the printhead will move back to its home position over the Printhead Station Cap upon powering back up. Do not open the hood during this action.
- If power loss occurs during the In-Place Cleaning Procedure, you must restart the procedure after powering up the printer. Do not reuse any of the Brill Cleaning Solution that was jetted through the system before the power outage. You must refill all bottles with fresh cleaning solution.
- If power loss occurs during a firmware upgrade, the printer will not store your upgrade progress. You must perform the upgrade again from the beginning.
