Site Selection - Printer

This section provides the requirements and recommendations to determine the most appropriate location for a highly functional, efficient 3D Culinary Studio workspace, with room for other equipment and supplies. The Culinary Studio is intended to be installed at professional retail or wholesale kitchen environments. Ensure facility and operations are compliant with your local health department and any state and federal regulations that may apply. Consider each of the requirements in this guide carefully before making a decision about your final placement site.

Space Requirements

User preferences, building codes, and equipment configuration help you to define the total floor area that your 3D Culinary Studio will need. The printer should be located in its own environmentally controlled room. It is also recommended to locate your post-processing equipment in the same room as the printer.

Sample Site Layout - Top View

The image below represents a sample layout of a 3D Culinary Studio room. The finishing station is not included with the printer shipment and must be ordered separately.

Please note that the following clearance around the printer is required:

Printer Section Clearance
Front 21.7 in. (55.2cm)
Sides 0.5 in. (1.2 cm)
Rear 12 in. (30 cm)
Top 27.6 in. (70 cm)

WARNING: Your system installer should have already installed your printer and Finishing Station with easy access to the power cord. If moving the units, do not position them such that it is difficult to access the power cords in case of an emergency situation.

WARNING: THE PRINTER AND FINISHING STATION MUST BE ON A SEPARATE CIRCUIT FROM EACH OTHER.
