Joining Multiple QuickCast Build Style Patterns

There are basically two methods to join multiple patterns. You may need to discuss which method your selected foundry prefers. Their decision will be based primarily on part geometry.

Depending on the geometry the foundry may want to “wax weld” the pieces together.

Otherwise, we recommend using Accura Bond as the bonding agent. For more information please use the Accura Bond and Patch User Guide.

NOTE: using other glues or epoxies may contribute to unexpected results in the foundry burnout process (ash, residue, etc.).

NOTE: When joining patterns, an opening must be made in corresponding locations on each pattern to allow air pressure to equalize between the patterns during foundry burnout. The opening will help avoid shell cracking and other failures relative to equalization during burnout.
