NextDent Denture 3D+

NextDent Denture 3D+ is a biocompatible Class IIa material suitable for printing all types of removable denture bases. This material has significant lower shrinkage compared to standard PMMA denture base materials. Shrinkage can be compensated by using dental software resulting in excellent fitting denture bases. This material has excellent mechanical properties and is comparable to conventional denture base materials.

Accuracy Tips

In order to achieve good accuracy with Denture 3D Plus it is important to follow the part setup instructions below for orientation and supports. Some other key tips are as follows:

  1. For improved model-fit, angle the part 60° with the posterior border of the maxilla and/or the lower trigone facing towards the build area, and with the mucosal side facing towards the build area.
  2. Generate supports by using Smart Supports. Rather than deleting auto-generated supports, consider moving them to another position. Removing critical supports because they interfere with a margin line may affect print quality.
  3. For best results use the Resin Mixer to gently stir between prints and after the resin has been sitting overnight.

CAUTION: Do NOT press down on the film when stirring.

  4. Verify proper cleaning method. Ensure cleaning solvents are not saturated and parts are allowed to dry for 10 minutes before post cure.

Orientation

Support Bar Generation

  1. Generate support bars create-bars.jpg with a width of 3mm and a tip width of 1.5mm.

  2. Place bars for the lower denture approximately between the trigones and between the second pre-molar and the first molar, connecting the two bars with an additional bar.
  3. For the upper denture, place bars on the palatal side close to the posterior border and a second bar between the first and second molar, connecting the bar to deepest point of the palate with an additional bar.

  4. On the mucosal side of the upper denture, place a support bar approximately from the left to the right buccal frenulum (see picture). Additionally place two smaller support bars left and right in the maxillary tuberosity area (see picture).

Add Supports

  1. Generate supports by using Smart Supports. Rather than deleting auto-generated supports, consider moving them to another position. Removing critical supports because they interfere with a margin line may affect print quality.
  2. For best results use the Resin Mixer to gently stir between prints and after the resin has been sitting overnight.
