Parts With Thin Features

As seen before, parts are stronger when built along the X and Y axes. Keep this in mind for part features, as well, particularly when thin features protrude from the part (such as arms). If delicate features cannot be aligned as such, and are only supported by unprinted powder, use the Scaffold tool create a supporting structure under the part to reduce the chance of breakage during part removal. A scaffold is also useful when a part with delicate features is printed alongside tightly packed solid parts. Such parts can be hard to remove with a supporting scaffold. See the 3D Sprint Help menu for more information on building scaffolds.
